‘The Brain Unravelled’ is an art & science exhibition where art, anthropology and neuroscience come together to explore what we know about the brain. Conceptualised and curated by Maria Lopes at UCL’s Slade Research Centre in London, it took place for the first time in September 2009.

Drawing on a broad range of research, one of aims of the show is to consider how the brain, to use Chris Frith’s phrase, ‘makes up the mind’.
